V. Lambinicio Jr. began writing at an early age, even winning a Bible as his first writing prize in the fourth grade. His father, a writer himself, guided him in developing his skills. His forte became short stories, one of which-The Boat Ticket-won first place in a contest held by his university. However, his writing was largely paused while he was in the Navy, writing only a few articles for local newspapers.

After retiring from military service, he returned to writing and completed three short stories, all of which he entered in the

2024 Lorian Hemingway Short Story Contest. His story Ada won an Honorable Mention in the international competition.
